Cadott Lead Drinking Water Service Line Loan Application Notices Solicited | News from the region

MADISON, Wisconsin – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced that the village of Cadott is an applicant for funding under the Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) to fill gaps in its public drinking water system. The project involves the replacement of lead service lines in the village of Cadott.

The activities related to this project are minor actions under chapter NR 150, Wis. Admin. Code, for which no environmental analysis is required; However, per federal requirement SDWLP 40 CFR §35.3580, an environmental review must be performed prior to funding this project.

The SDWLP has determined that the Project will not cause significant adverse environmental effects and that no further environmental review or analysis is necessary before proceeding with funding for the Project.

The public is encouraged to submit comments regarding this decision and the potential environmental impacts of this project. Submit your comments by November 19, 2021 to:

Based on the comments received, the SDWLP can prepare an environmental scan before proceeding with the funding process. The analysis would summarize MRN’s review of project impacts and reasonable alternatives.
